Larnach's Castle
Dunedin was founded by Scottish settlers in the 1840's. The sheltered deep water of Otago Harbour was a valuable natural anchorage. There are many outstanding and well preserved buildings from the early times: The University (1869), Municipal Chambers (1880), Railway Station (1906) and countless private villas.

Otago Museum has excellent natural history presentations and fine collections of Maori artefacts while Otago Settlers Museum is dedicated to the early pioneers of this region.

The Octagon is the centre of the City and has an imposing statue of Scotland's National Bard - Robert Burns. St Paul's Anglican Cathedral is also situated here. Dunedin Accommodation
